Support the Junior Men and Women Pan American Cup teams as they prepare for tournaments.

The boys are off to Hermosillo, Mexico (February 6-14, 2010) and the girls are off to Montevideo, Uruguay (March 13-21, 2010). These two teams were selected from the National championships held in the summer and both teams are BC teams representing Canada. Break through 2009...

Posted by Ali Baggott at Nov 24, 2009 9:37AM PST ( 0 Comments )

Support Canada’s Women’s National Field Hockey team to get to the World Cup and fund their tours to prepare them to qualify for the Olympics in 2012.

We have a few tours coming up and as the program feels pretty much self-funded, we have an amazing new set of fundraising campaigners with FHC that have put together a new fundraising program! Every athlete must individually raise $2400 and 100% of that total goes directly to tours and travel! Every great international team needs at least 30 games to even be able to think about really competing on the world stage and currently Canada can afford maybe 10! So, this fundraising initiative is VERY important and I think this is a great opportunity to support individual athletes since you must write down the name of the person you are in support of on the donation form!

Upcoming Tour Schedule:
January: Two-week International Tour. Location: Malaysia or Spain?
March: World Cup Qualifier, USA.
September: 4 Nation Tour, Europe
October: Commonwealth Games, Delhi India

Donating Instructions:

1. ONLINE —> You can go to www.fieldhockey.ca and click ’BREAK THROUGH 2009" and follow the instructions. BE SURE TO WRITE MY NAME DOWN after you have made your payment

2. CHEQUE —> Print and fill in a donation form ( I have a bunch too) and write a cheque to field hockey canada (240-1101 Prince of Wales Drive, ottawa, Ont, K2C 3W7) and give it to me or mail it to them!

Tax receipts are sent out in Feb 2010

Finally, if you are donating and are comfortable telling me, I have to keep track since I have only until the end of December to raise my $2400 … so let me know if you are able to donate and help even if it is only $2.00 I WILL BE THANKFUL!!!

THANKS EVERYONE! Feel Free to contact me if you have more questions! Also feel free to pass this on to others that you know…

Website Maintenance

Posted by Ali Baggott at Sep 30, 2009 2:06PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hi Everyone,

1. SCORE UPDATING
If you are interested in updating scores from the weekend games, you must have a "coach" status on your Team Roster or be a Division Administrator. If you are a player on the team and wish to remain as so on the web site then let me know and I will upgrade you to a Division Admin and you can go crazy updating scores.

2. HEAD SHOT PHOTOS
If you have your own head shot please feel free to add it but do try and get a photo in. You can go to your privacy settings and keep track of what exactly people can and can’t see with your profile.

3. GAME SCHEDULE
Please leave the game schedule updating to the VIFHA administrators (Chris probably)

4. PHOTO ALBUMS
I am working on security for certain albums and getting more game shots from the weekend so stay tuned.

Any concerns or things you noticed please e-mail me … We are all still learning about the site.

NEW WEBSITE FOR ALL

Posted by Ali Baggott at Sep 23, 2009 12:58PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

It is with great pleasure that we introduce the new and improving website program for Field Hockey Victoria (including Men’s league, Women’s league, Junior League and Umpires). TeamPages is an excellent host site for teams, clubs and organizations like ours.

The features of this website primarily include easier, faster and more efficient communication; sharing of photos, videos and documents; as well as a single site that branches to everything that is related to Field Hockey in Victoria.

We are very excited to introduce this new website that will stem from a Field Hockey Victoria site down to the various leagues, clubs, divisions, teams and individual roster members. Similar to Facebook, my space and other online communication systems, Team Pages will allow us to update information and keep in constant communication without having to send out multiple e-mails to multiple people.

Stay tuned for more tutorials and "how-to" pages for managing your teams and clubs via Team Pages. If you have any problems, concerns or need help uploading information, scores or team rosters please e-mail me, Ali, at: alilee05@gmail.com at any time!

Thanks!! And Enjoy it!!
